ATA Engineering Announces the Release of IMAT v4.1.0
Enhancements include new plotting capabilities in core IMAT, displaying options for coordinate traces in IMAT+FEA, and more
SAN DIEGO, Calif., October 6, 2011 — ATA is excited to announce the release of version 4.1.0 of the IMAT family of software products. IMAT is a MATLAB interface designed for test and analysis engineers who work with large engineering data sets. This release brings a number of exciting new enhancements to the powerful functionality available in IMAT.
Notable Core IMAT Upgrades:
Eliminate the hassles associated with data extraction and plotting in MATLAB. IMAT’s new plotyy function allows you to plot two sets of functions on a double y-axis with full integration of powerful IMAT plotting capabilities that are not available in MATLAB, including windowing of data and templates.
Notable IMAT+FEA Upgrades:
You can now display coordinate traces and coordinate systems on a finite element model (FEM) using the visualization toolkit (VTK). For test purposes, coordinate traces are a great way to visualize measurement points and compare against actual installation locations. This is also a great tool for pretest analysis, allowing you to visualize proposed test degrees of freedom (DOFs).
Notable IMAT+Modal Upgrades:
No need to decipher node locations, angles, etc., any more when choosing shaker locations. Enhance your test readiness by directly visualizing where shakers should be located. IMAT’s new plot_shaker_locations function allows you to graphically display the shaker locations returned by shaker_locator directly on the FEM.
Notable IMAT+SignalUpgrades:
There is now a shortcut for filtering on coordinate traces instead of using the channels GUI. Quickly sift through your test data to a predefined set of nodes using the Responses listbox context menu.

IMAT v4.1.0 is available to any IMAT user who is current with maintenance, enhancements, and support (ME&S). There is no cost for upgrading to v4.1.0. Customers can download the latest version here.
