ATA Engineering Announces the Release of Vibrata v1.2.0
Enhancements include updated Femap support, cumulative effective mass visualization, additional output types, and more.
SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 8, 2014 — ATA Engineering, Inc., (ATA) is pleased to announce the availability of Vibrata version 1.2.0. Vibrata is an advanced dynamic analysis software package designed to give Femap® users powerful response analysis capabilities.
Many products are exposed to dynamic environments that need to be analyzed: vehicles and electronics are subject to transportation loads, satellites experience significant loads during launch, and the list goes on. Vibrata allows users to easily define, solve, and display results for the most challenging loading conditions, including frequency, transient, random, and shock response domains. By using MATLAB for the solver environment and Femap for data storage and visualization, Vibrata is uniquely able to seamlessly incorporate custom analysis processes. Vibrata also provides an easy-to-use interface and features not found in some other software products, such as the ability to compute random vibration output quickly and efficiently.
Vibrata v1.2.0 has been designed to work with Femap 11.0.x and 11.1.x. ATA Engineering is committed to providing new Vibrata releases in conjunction with new Femap releases so users can keep up to date.
ATA is continually improving Vibrata based upon customer feedback and recommendations as well as ATA’s growing needs for added functionality. Vibrata v1.2.0 has several new capabilities, along with many customer-driven enhancements.
New Capabilities and Enhancements:
Cumulative effective mass visualization from the Modal Settings tab
Optimize your solve times without sacrificing accuracy. The Modal Settings tab now provides a concise, graphical means of evaluating the effective mass of modes, allowing you to easily check whether you’re using too many modes—or not enough.
Support for additional output types
Vibrata has added support for more output types, giving you access to more useful results for different tasks:
- Need insight into reaction forces at restrained locations? SPCFORCE results are now supported for all solvers.
- Evaluating material strength in response spectrum applications? The Response Spectrum solver now provides von Mises output.
GUI enhancements for enforced motion analysis
Vibrata’s GUI now specifies the coordinate system in use for enforced motion inputs so you can verify your analysis setup at a glance.
