Siemens Releases Femap v11.2

SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 25, 2015 – Siemens PLM Software has just announced the release of version 11.2 of Femap, the stand-alone finite element modeling pre- and post-processor for engineering simulation and analysis. This new version offers users improved performance and a wide range of added capabilities.

The enhancements to this version of the software include improved postprocessing capabilities such as analysis studies and freebody section cuts that help users organize and manipulate output for greater comprehension, smart geometry modification tools that give the user more direct control, and extended preprocessing functionality including a contact manager data surface that facilitates setup and visualization of contact between components. Also included in this version are more versatile meshing functions, as well as significant graphics performance improvements and many more miscellaneous and solver-specific enhancements.
